The Chicks Announce 'Taking the Long Way' 20th Anniversary Tour

The Chicks are hitting the road to celebrate two decades of one of the most defiant albums in music history. The country trio just announced their “Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour,” a special 16-date run that kicks off this fall. For fans who lived through the era of "Not Ready to Make Nice," this is the concert event of the season.

Recorded in the wake of the 2003 controversy involving comments about the Iraq War, Taking the Long Way remains a milestone for the group. It was their last album under the "Dixie Chicks" name before they returned 14 years later as simply The Chicks. Now, they are ready to revisit those songs that defined their resilience and artistry.

The tour is designed to be an intimate experience across 10 different cities. Starting September 30th at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, the trio will travel through Chicago, New York, Nashville, and Seattle. The journey concludes with a two-night finale at the iconic Hollywood venue in early November.
