Kyiv Struck: Russian Attack Knocks Out Power and Heat

Ukraine’s parliament and large parts of Kyiv were left without electricity, heating or water after overnight Russian strikes hit the country’s energy grid. The strike also sent many residents scrambling for warmth and hot water as temperatures dropped, highlighting the human toll behind the headlines.

Officials said the attack affected multiple targets across Ukraine, with drones and missiles striking the capital as well as other key cities. Ukraine reported casualties from the overnight strikes, with at least a few people confirmed dead and dozens injured in a series of incidents across the country.
