New Delhi is buzzing as the India AI Impact Summit 2026 arrives at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, February 16-20. A detailed Delhi Traffic Police advisory warns of congestion across central routes due to extensive VIP movement, urging travelers to plan ahead and consider public transport.

Routes likely to see congestion include Mathura Road (Subramanian Bharti Marg to Lodhi Road Flyover), Akbar Road, Janpath, Shanti Path, Satya Marg, Africa Avenue, APJ Abdul Kalam Road, Tilak Marg, and Bhagwan Das Road. While there are no major restrictions on access to the airport or key railway stations, commuters are advised to start early to avoid delays.

For those traveling to Indira Gandhi International Airport, using NH-48 and the Sector-22 Dwarka Tunnel is recommended. Passengers heading to New Delhi, Old Delhi, or Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations should prefer Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, and Vande Mataram Marg routes. Non-Delhi-bound vehicles will be diverted via the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways to ease congestion in central areas.

To reach the summit, visitors are urged to rely on public transport, with the Delhi Metro operating normally and Gate 10 near Pragati Maidan serving as the closest access point. Private vehicles will be parked at the Delhi Zoo, National Stadium, and Jawa.

The event is set to bring together around 20 heads of state, 40 ministers, and delegations from nearly 100 countries. Notable participants and global tech leaders are expected to discuss AI’s potential and risks, with international voices endorsing inclusive, worldwide access to AI developments.
