Rakesh Bedi Debunks PMO Dhurandhar Script Rumors, Reveals Hilarious Set Moments!

Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has firmly addressed the swirling speculation surrounding the blockbuster film 'Dhurandhar', categorically rejecting claims that its script originated from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Speaking at the prestigious Amrit Ratna 2026 summit in New Delhi, Bedi revealed that these rumors only began circulating after the film achieved massive success.

Bedi, who played the role of an Indian agent named Jameel Jamali in 'Dhurandhar', recounted his initial impressions of the script. He described it as 'very tense' and 'intense,' noting his natural inclination towards comedy. He saw opportunities to inject humor and approached the director, Aditya. "I can spot a few pockets where we could add some humour. Should I give it a try?" Bedi recalled asking. Initially, the director was hesitant, but as filming progressed, both found enjoyment in these comedic additions.

During the summit, Bedi was asked about his specific humorous contributions. He proudly recited one of his popular improvised dialogues: "Your b***ocks are very white," a line delivered while referring to a group of ducks in a scene. He then cleverly used this very line to shut down the PMO script rumors. "No one could have written that line," Bedi asserted. "When the film became a hit, some people claimed the 'Dhurandhar' script came from the PMO. I asked, 'Tell me, who in the PMO could possibly write a line like that? No one could even think like that!'"

Bedi's explanation not only clarified the origin of the script but also highlighted the collaborative and creative process behind the film's success, emphasizing that its unique elements, including its humor, were born from the talent and spontaneity of its cast and crew, not from a government office.
