The state government is rolling out a bold blueprint called Telangana Rising 2047 that centers on creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurial, creative, and diverse talent to relocate, work, and build long-term careers with confidence. The plan, to be unveiled in early December by the administration led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, frames talent as a core driver of economic competitiveness over the next two decades.
The strategy rests on three pillars: EduCity, financial incentives, and a focus on quality of life. Officials say the ability to attract and retain highly skilled individuals will determine how quickly Telangana closes the gap with global innovation hubs.
EduCity is envisioned as a hub of world-class universities and innovation ecosystems. It aims to spark a collision of ideas by nurturing learning, research, and enterprise in a connected environment that draws talent from around the world and keeps it rooted in the state.
Financial incentives are positioned as a potential game changer. They include relocation support, startup seed funding, research grants, performance-linked fellowships, and tax benefits designed to lure top talent from across the country and beyond.
Quality of life will be a major focus, with plans for safe, inclusive, and well-connected living environments. The package emphasizes better access to healthcare, education, recreation, and opportunities for spouses to find employment, all aimed at supporting professionals and their families.
Taken together, the government hockey-sticks Telangana as a natural home for global talent seeking purpose and a high quality of life, signaling a shift in the state’s economic landscape in the years to come.
