This disruption marked the second time in the same week that IndiGo's core reservation platform experienced intermittent problems, following a similar outage on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
The airline acknowledged the inconvenience, issuing a statement on its website: "We are currently experiencing intermittent issues with our core reservation platform, which may make it difficult for some customers to access our online services." IndiGo assured its customers that dedicated teams were working "on priority" with their partners to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. Later, an official confirmed that the problems had been resolved, and the system was functioning normally again.
These recent glitches bring to light ongoing challenges for the carrier. IndiGo utilizes the Navitaire reservation system, and while such technical issues can affect any large-scale operation, this isn't an isolated incident. The airline had previously faced massive flight disruptions and subsequent regulatory actions in December 2025 due to similar system failures. With IndiGo operating approximately 2,200 flights daily and holding a significant market share of 67.4% on domestic routes, having flown 80.82 lakh passengers in July, reliable digital services are paramount for passenger convenience and operational efficiency.
