A 27-year-old man has been charged with Finbar Sullivan's murder after the Primrose Hill stabbing. He is due to appear at Stratford Magistrates' Court on Monday.
A 27-year-old man, Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu of Southbury Road in Enfield, has been charged with the murder of Finbar Sullivan after the 21-year-old film student was fatally stabbed at Primrose Hill. Ogunyankinnu was arrested on Friday and charged with murder on Sunday; he is due to appear at Stratford Magistrates' Court on Monday. A 25-year-old man who had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released with no further action. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives examine the circumstances surrounding the attack at the north London beauty spot, near the viewing point, on Tuesday evening around 18:30 BST.
Finbar Sullivan was a filmmaking student at the London Screen Academy. His father, Chris Sullivan, 65, said he had lost his only son and that friends described Finbar as the light and a leader. The community around Primrose Hill is grieving as authorities press on with the inquiry.
Another man, also in his 20s, was found with stab injuries by officers on nearby Regent's Park Road on Tuesday. He was taken to hospital, with injuries described as not life-threatening or life-changing.
Police emphasise the investigation is ongoing, with officers collecting CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses. No further details were released at this stage.
