Dense fog and extreme cold have forced Noida to extend the winter break for all schools up to Class 8 through January 15, ahead of resuming classes.
An order from the Basic Education Officer has extended the closure to all nursery-to-class-8 institutions across the district, including CBSE, ICSE, and UP Board schools, until January 15 due to dense fog and severe cold. The directive follows the district magistrate's directions and applies to every board operating in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Schools reopened only after the specified period will face strict action as per rules.
The measure covers educational buildings affiliated with any board and aims to ensure student safety during extreme winter conditions. Noida has experienced light rainfall and consistently low temperatures in recent days, contributing to the decision.
