Milo Yiannopoulos Deported to UK After New Orleans Arrest by ICE

Controversial far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported to the United Kingdom by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following his arrest in New Orleans. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Yiannopoulos, identified as an "illegal alien from the United Kingdom," was removed from the U.S. on August 28 and sent back to his home country.

He was apprehended at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport the day prior to his deportation.

According to a spokesperson from Homeland Security, Yiannopoulos was issued a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge on July 22.

This order was a consequence of his failure to appear for a scheduled immigration hearing.

Yiannopoulos, 41, had gained prominence as a campus speaker and editor for the right-wing website Breitbart during the early years of the Trump administration.

Adding a dramatic twist to the story, far-right blogger Laura Loomer claimed full responsibility for reporting Yiannopoulos to ICE. Loomer, an influential figure with past ties to the Trump administration and a history of sparring with Yiannopoulos, asserted that she was "100 percent" the reason for his detention.

She publicly stated on social media that she reported him after he allegedly made threatening posts about her, including one in March featuring her photo with the caption "target practice."

Loomer emphasized,

I’m simply one of many people who was threatened with violence by Milo when he was living in America as an illegal alien.

She further added, "Milo’s own behavior is what led to him being deported when he overstayed his visa." The deportation carries a notable irony, as Yiannopoulos himself has been a vocal advocate for aggressive immigration enforcement in the past, even suggesting measures like "ICE checkpoints at supermarket entrances, gas stations, strip malls, intersections and government building" in California.
