Investigators from the NIA and Jammu and Kashmir Police raided Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad on Wednesday as part of the widening probe into the Delhi Red Fort blast. The operation involved collecting evidence and questioning medical staff, with a prior campus visit by investigators to follow up on leads. Authorities indicated the investigation is ongoing and that more steps could follow.
A joint team searched the campus and conducted door-to-door checks in the nearby villages of Dhauj and Fatehpur Taga. The case has already brought four doctors associated with the college under scrutiny, among them those reportedly linked to the broader terror module involved in the incident. Some reports note that two doctors have been detained as part of the investigation, while others highlight ongoing scrutiny of the hospital’s staff and operations.
The university has publicly distanced itself from the accused, stating there is no connection with the individuals beyond their official roles at the institution. Officials also asserted that laboratory activities at Al-Falah are strictly for academic and training purposes, with no prohibited chemicals stored on campus. Amid the scrutiny, investigators had recovered a substantial quantity of ammonium nitrate from rented accommodations in Dhauj and Fatehpur Taga as part of the broader operation controlling the network implicated in the attack.
The unfolding events have prompted questions about private institutions’ oversight and safety. Students and staff have expressed concern and anxiety, while the university reiterated its commitment to safety and cooperation with investigators.
