To tackle rising pollution, the Commission for Air Quality Management has tightened the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), moving several restrictions to earlier stages. Authorities say traffic controls, office restrictions, expanded public transport, and the possibility of work-from-home measures will be implemented sooner across Delhi-NCR as AQI trends worsen. Spot checks point to hotspots where pollution is peaking: areas like Wazirpur and Bawana are reporting readings well into the hazardous range, with Bawana recorded at 435 in some reports and other pockets of the NCR region also showing poor air quality. While the overall figure remains 381, the divergence across neighborhoods highlights the uneven impact of the pollution surge and the uneven reach of mitigation efforts.
