In London, Prime Video kicked off its first-ever international originals showcase, led by Nicole Clemens, who joined the streamer nine months ago as VP for international originals. She has signaled a push toward big, bold swings as Prime Video leans deeper into global storytelling.
The slate announced at the event spans drama, anime, and cross-border projects, including a Stanley Tucci-led Masterplan, a reboot of the classic manga Fist Of The North Star, and the first U.S. adaptation of Mercedes Ron’s novel 30 Sunsets para enamorarte. A Ghost In The Shell anime adaptation and a Gianna Jun-led supernatural romance headline the Asia-Pacific portion of the lineup, underscoring Prime Video’s ambitions across regions.
The showcase was broadcast virtually from London, highlighting that several titles were already in motion before Clemens’s arrival, signaling a long-term commitment to international bets rather than one-off launches. Clemens stressed that her strategy centers on ambitious projects designed to broaden the streamer’s global footprint.
The Asia-Pacific segment was presented by Gaurav Gandhi, VP of APAC and ANZ, who outlined a diverse mix of anime and live-action titles aimed at widening Prime Video’s appeal across languages and genres.
