The Federation of Western India Cine Employees, known as FWICE, has issued a "non-cooperation directive" against the superstar following his departure from the highly anticipated film Don 3. This move has sparked a massive debate about the power of film unions and whether such a "ban" can actually hold up in the real world.

The directive basically asks members of the federation not to work with Ranveer in any professional capacity. However, legal experts are now weighing in, and the news isn't as dire for the actor as it might seem. Many argue that the FWICE is a trade union body and not a statutory regulator.
