After teasing us with a massive string of festival announcements and that huge Coachella slot this weekend, the Strokes have finally confirmed that their new album Reality Awaits is officially on the way!
I honestly started to think they might just play the hits forever, but a new LP is exactly the energy we need right now. Considering their last project was a Grammy winner, the bar is set incredibly high. Are we looking at another era-defining classic or just a victory lap for the indie kings?
Either way, New York’s finest are back to reclaim their throne and I am ready to make this entire album my personality for the foreseeable future.

Paris Jackson is finally back and I am obsessed with the vibe of ‘Zombies In Love’! Collaborating with the legendary Linda Perry was such a power move, you can really hear that raw, alt-rock influence blending with Paris’s signature haunting vocals. It’s wild to think we’ve been waiting since ‘Wilted’ for a full project, but if this single is any indication, the new album is going to be incredibly personal and emotionally heavy.
She’s already warned us that some of the lyrics might be ‘hard to hear’ because she’s diving into pain and heartbreak, which just makes me respect her artistry even more.
