Why did anyone think that deploying enforcement officers to manage commercial airport queues was a viable solution to the travel crisis? We are seeing unprecedented delays, and the "fix" has been to bring in people trained for security and law enforcement, not logistics and passenger processing. It’s a classic case of using a hammer when you need a screwdriver.
These agents aren't equipped to expedite civil travel or manage the flow of thousands of tired families. Instead of fixing the bottlenecks, we’ve just added another layer of confusion and intimidation to the terminal. It’s inefficient, costly, and frankly, a waste of specialized personnel who should be elsewhere.
We need infrastructure and trained civil staff, not a show of force at the baggage claim. It’s time for real solutions.
