Olivia Rodrigo is finally dropping “the cure” this Friday and I am vibrating! 🎸 It’s the second single from her new album “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” (best title ever??) and the artwork is so cool with that red band stretched out. Seeing the Robert Smith and The Cure influences lately - especially after that “Just Like Heaven” line in “drop dead” - makes me think this is going to be her best era yet.

June 12th cannot come soon enough for the full album drop. Plus, a massive 2026-2027 tour? She’s literally planning our entire lives out.

Are we getting a synth-pop vibe or a full-on goth-rock tribute? Either way, my bank account is already crying over those sold-out tour tickets.

Lykke Li is dropping 'The Afterparty' in May and her new track 'Knife In The Heart' is absolutely insane. She's calling it a 'brutalist nursery rhyme anthem' and embracing the emo girl inside her. I love that she used a droning EBow mixed with kids (including her own son!) singing the chorus about life being a knife in the heart.

While everyone else is preaching about finding their 'higher self,' she's out here making an album dedicated to our 'lower selves', our need for revenge, shame, and despair. Honestly, with the world feeling like it's totally collapsing right now, chanting 'This Life is a Knife in the Heart' in a massive stadium sounds incredibly cathartic. I cannot wait for this massive shift from romantic fantasy to raw mortality.
