Literal toxic relationship.
Main usko dekhti thi... aur woh mujhe judge karta tha.
“Double chin aa gayi.”
“Under eyes full dark circles.”
“Tummy ka kya plan hai madam? Workout pal se shuru karna hai na? Kal kab aayega?”
Aur main bas “hmm” kar ke nikal jaati thi - jaise koi strict teacher ho jisko avoid karna hai.
Phir ek din I found my old journal from 2016.
Pages full of:
"Why do I look like this?"
"Everyone else is prettier."
"I hate my smile."
Cute, na?
Why am I so mean to myself? I want my 2025 wala journal.
It needs to be more like:
"I look tired but at least I showed up."
"Smiled at myself today. Progress."
"Wore jeans without crying. Growth!"
Kaise hoga yeh shift? Not with some magical “you are beautiful” affirmation bullshit.
Nahi. Yeh ho raha hai slow AF.
Started with random chhoti baatein , jaise mirror ke saamne "tu toh badi fine lag rahi hai aaj" bolna, even when I clearly looked like I hadn’t slept since 2019.
Also, I stopped following Insta models who drink celery juice and call it breakfast.
Bro, I can’t even digest doodh properly.
Ek aur pro tip:
Mirror selfies le. Not for likes, but for yourself.
Some days I look like a goddess. Other days?
Shrek in a kurti.
And BOTH are valid.
So yeah, yeh koi glow-up story nahi hai.
Yeh grow-up story hai.
Jahan main finally mirror ke saamne khade hokar bol sakti hoon:
"Tu chalti phirti anxiety ho sakti hai, lekin tu cute bhi hai."
Ab hum besties hain.
