Lana Del Rey has just dropped a major surprise on her fans this week: her upcoming album, "Stove," will not be arriving alone. The acclaimed singer-songwriter announced via a lengthy Instagram post that a “beautiful, secondary album” will accompany it, reflecting different facets of her journey over the past four years.

Del Rey shared that a lot of time was spent "waiting for things to come together" and "wondering if it was ok that things were falling apart." It was during these introspective moments, "in between the songs," that new thoughts about old friends and new dreams emerged. She described this creative bloom metaphorically, as new sprouts growing into a rose bush underneath a willow tree, which ultimately became her "large companion album."

This secondary project, she explained, was "compiled by as many people as I could find to help me gather my thoughts about how much was changing." While "Stove" is envisioned as a "lovely and intact… classic album," the companion piece evolved organically, serving as a "commentary of sorts on everything that has been going on, and the patience that was required."

Expressing gratitude to her collaborators and her loyal fanbase, Del Rey confirmed she needs about a month to finalize both projects before sending them off for vinyl production. She boldly declared the two albums to be "my most beautiful pieces of work," emphasizing the organic, adventurous flow of life and creativity. "It's really not your choice and it's truly an adventure of its own," she mused, adding, "I wrote about it. Now it's time to trust the process and go downstream."

The artist has been teasing and pushing back release dates for her follow-up to 2023’s "Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd." Her long-awaited album was initially titled "Lasso." This unexpected double album reveal promises an even deeper dive into Lana Del Rey's evolving artistic world.
