Lionsgate Chairman Adam Fogelson shared these exciting updates during a recent earnings call, emphasizing the studio's commitment to delivering a follow-up that lives up to the original's massive success. "We are hard at work on making sure that we can put together a sequel that is worthy of the success and enthusiasm that the first movie generated," Fogelson stated, promising audiences "the biggest, best sequel" they deserve.
Interestingly, some "big musical sequences" originally filmed for the first movie but ultimately unused might find their way into the sequel. This suggests an even grander spectacle for fans.
