Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 137th 'Mann Ki Baat' episode, addressed critical national issues, focusing on the dangers of drug addiction, the empowerment of women, and the importance of cleanliness. The Prime Minister underscored the devastating impact of drug addiction, stating, "Drug addiction does not just engulf a single individual.

The entire family and society have to bear the consequences." He lauded individuals and organizations actively working to raise awareness and assist those struggling with addiction. PM Modi called upon young musicians to create songs promoting a drug-free life, encouraged students and theatre groups to develop short plays showcasing recovery, and urged content creators to spread the message across social media in various languages.

Shifting his focus to economic opportunities and women's empowerment, PM Modi highlighted the significant role of women street vendors in India's economy.

He noted that a lack of capital often hinders the growth of their businesses.

However, the PM SVANidhi Yojana, a Central Government scheme providing affordable working capital loans without guarantee to street vendors, is transforming lives.

Lakhs of such mothers and sisters are gaining new strength through the PM SVANidhi Yojana,

he said, revealing that approximately 46% of the beneficiaries, around 35 lakh women, are expanding their businesses through this scheme. The Prime Minister also touched upon the expanding opportunities for girl students in the space industry, signaling a future where women play a pivotal role in advanced sectors.

Furthermore, PM Modi commended ongoing cleanliness initiatives across the nation, emphasizing the collective effort of citizens in building a cleaner India. His address served as a call to action for collective responsibility and progress on multiple fronts.
