I recently stayed at an Airbnb where the host's behavior was completely impossible to decipher, and it has me thinking deeply about the fine line between genuine hospitality and a total invasion of privacy. At first, it seemed like they were just being helpful, offering detailed local tips and checking in frequently. But then it crossed into territory that felt genuinely unsettling. Lingering far too long during the key handoff, making overly personal comments about my travel plans, and appearing at the door for "maintenance" without any warning. It’s a total nightmare when you can’t tell if someone is just socially awkward and trying to be a good host or if they are actually a threat. We really need better industry standards because right now, "hospitable" can easily mask creepy behavior. #travel #culture #privacy
