It is absolutely disgraceful to see the 2026 Academy Awards completely ignore the passing of a global cinematic icon like Dharmendra during the In Memoriam segment. For someone who contributed decades to world cinema, his exclusion is a slap in the face to international film history. Instead of honoring legends, the ceremony felt more like a political runway. While I respect actors using their platform for issues like the Palestine ceasefire or ICE reform, the balance has shifted too far. When we start prioritizing 'F**K ICE' pins over the literal legends who built this industry, the Oscars lose their soul. Cinema is a universal language, but tonight, the Academy showed its narrow-mindedness. Dharmendra deserved better than a total snub while host Conan O’Brien cracked jokes and stars played activists.
