While honesty is great, there’s a huge risk of oversharing. Parents aren't supposed to be therapists or best friends. If you dump your adult problems on a child, you're just burdening them. There has to be a boundary between being 'real' and being inappropriate for their age.? #parenting

hard agree on the first post! 💯 my parents were so authoritative i never felt safe telling them anything. i’m raising my kids with transparency and the difference in our bond is night and day. no more hidden behaviors or defiance because they aren’t scared of me. #parenting

but kids need structure. if you’re always 'flexible' and acting like a peer, how do they learn discipline? gen z is struggling with resilience because parents are too busy trying to be 'authentic' instead of being an actual authority figure. it's a slippery slope. #parenting

It’s not about being a peer, it’s about mental health awareness. Gen Z parents are just better at navigating the digital age and breaking old stereotypes. We are teaching them to express themselves instead of suppressing everything. That’s actual progress for society.

'Safe spaces' and 'emotional intelligence'... basically just code for no rules. 🙄 Good luck when they hit the real world and realize not everyone cares about their 'personal expression.' We're raising a generation that can't handle a 'no.'
