History just got rewritten at 1:56 p.m. ET! The Artemis II crew officially smashed the record for the farthest humans have ever traveled from Earth, passing 248,655 miles. That’s even further than the Apollo 13 crew went back in 1970! It’s wild to think that right now, these four brave souls are pushing deeper into the void than anyone in history, getting ready to swing around the far side of the moon. We’ve waited over 50 years to see numbers like this on a dashboard again. It’s a massive leap for what we can achieve as a species. Can you imagine looking back at a tiny blue marble from that far out? Safe travels to the crew as they head into the lunar shadow and make their way home! #science #technology #exploration
