It is absolutely horrifying that over fifty child care centers in our district are operating without basic fitness certificates months after the academic year started. We are entrusting our toddlers' lives to facilities that haven't been inspected by engineers simply because of administrative delays like staff transfers. A cobra was recently found inside an almirah in one of these centers! How can we ignore such blatant safety hazards? Many of these units are crumbling, missing window panes, or surrounded by wild overgrowth, yet the authorities seem indifferent. With hundreds of these centers operating out of cramped, rented spaces because of unrealistic rent caps in urban areas, we are essentially gambling with the lives of our youngest citizens. It is high time the local bodies prioritize infrastructure over bureaucracy. Our children deserve safe, certified environments, not death traps. #safety #parenting #governance
