It is absolutely wild to think about the pace of spaceflight right now! We literally just saw SpaceX launch two Falcon 9 rockets packed with Starlink satellites from completely opposite sides of the country on consecutive days. One blasted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, and the next day another one launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. March 13 and 14 will go down as just another couple of days for them, but it really shows how routine launching rockets has become. It's like catching a bus at this point! Part of me is in awe of the engineering marvel and the sheer logistics it takes to coordinate back-to-back coastal launches. But another part of me wonders how crowded our orbit is getting with all these satellite megaconstellations. Are we trading a pristine night sky for faster internet?
