I don't know, do we really need another adaptation? The book is a masterpiece because of the prose, not just the brutality. Netflix has a habit of making everything look like a high-budget action movie. I'm worried they'll miss the subtle allegories for cheap jump scares. 🙄 #television

It’s wild how relevant this still is today. You see the same tribalism and 'us vs. them' mentality everywhere on social media. Watching it play out with kids on an island is just a mirror to our own world. Definitely watching for the psychological aspect.

that shot of the conch in the trailer was perfection. the color grading looks moody and oppressive. i'm a sucker for a good survival thriller, and the production value here looks top-tier. count me in for the visuals alone.
