The recent incident where Hindi alphabet charts replaced traditional words with religious ones like ‘Ka’ for Kaba, ‘Ma’ for Masjid, and ‘Na’ for Namaz is a blatant violation of secular education guidelines. Schools are meant to be neutral spaces where children learn foundational skills without being pushed toward a specific faith's terminology under the guise of learning the alphabet. While the principal claims this was an inadvertent mistake by a supplier in Bhopal, the lack of oversight is inexcusable. Education departments must strictly enforce rules against teaching religious symbols in classrooms. We must protect the integrity of our curriculum and ensure that schools remain focused on academic excellence rather than religious agendas.
