Apparently, the delay is just because of 'missing engineers' due to transfers, but that’s no excuse for child safety. Look at what happened in Karumaloor, a cobra was literally found inside an almirah because of a broken window! And let’s not even start on the 600 anganwadis that don't even have their own buildings. They’re stuck in cramped, low-rent spaces because the government won’t adjust rent for urban areas like Kochi. If we can't ensure a basic safe environment for our kids, what are we even doing?
