I honestly feel we need more films that prioritize the human element over rigid political or religious agendas. Take a story set in 1950s Kerala, for instance. If you have a character like a Pallichattambi, it’s naturally going to be rooted in a religious and social landscape because that was the reality of the time. But that doesn’t mean the film has to be a political manifesto. Why can't we just focus on the outsider’s journey and what he learns about life? If a filmmaker says the core message is 'humanity' and it's designed for families to enjoy together, including kids, I’m all for it. We shouldn't be forced to pick sides every time a period piece reflects historical truths.
