Okay, so that viral video of an omelette cooking itself in the European sun? Turns out, it's not *quite* as magical as it looks! An expert dropped some science bombs, explaining that while heatwaves are brutal (think 40-45°C), that's nowhere near hot enough to cook an egg (which needs 60-75°C to coagulate). So, your breakfast isn't going to spontaneously scramble just from the air temperature. BUT, and this is a big but, if you leave a dark pan out in direct sunlight, that surface can get significantly hotter than the air. So, the pan *itself* could cook the egg, not the air around it.
