Converge is absolutely legendary for a reason. Most legacy bands just coast on their old hits, but these Boston hardcore pioneers are out here dropping two massive albums in one year. Love Is Not Enough was already a total masterpiece, and now they’re already teasing Hum Of Hurt just months later. I caught the tour opener in Cleveland at the House of Blues, and the energy was unreal. They actually played a bunch of the new material, and honestly, it’s rare to be this excited for new tracks from a band that's been around this long. If the title track is any indication, this next record is going to be just as heavy and visceral as anything they’ve ever done. Hardcore isn't dead, it's just evolving with the kings.
