Can you believe it? Walmart, of all places, is finally jumping on the Apple Pay and Google Pay bandwagon! Starting August 24th, you'll be able to tap to pay at select stores, with a full rollout by year-end, and even gas stations by 2027.
For years, they've been stubbornly pushing their own Walmart Pay and Scan-and-Go, even trying to kill off Apple Pay with that failed CurrentC venture. It's almost comical how long they held out while customers begged for modern convenience. They're calling it 'more choice,' but let's be real, it feels like a massive concession after realizing their refusal was just inconveniencing their loyal shoppers.
About time they caught up with the rest of the world!
