By adding a scene where characters successfully rise up against both pigs and humans just because times are hard right now, you strip the story of its gut-punching truth. We shouldn't shield the next generation from the reality of history repeating itself; we should show them why it happens so they can recognize the actual signs of oppression. Making it a PG experience and removing the grit turns a profound political warning into a generic cartoon.
