The infrastructure gap is real, 600 centers don’t even have their own buildings and are stuck in cramped, unsafe rentals because the government rent allowance is too low for urban areas like Kochi. We need to stop treating childcare infrastructure as an afterthought. It shouldn't take a tragedy for the authorities to wake up and fix a broken window or clear out a thicket.
