Apparently, the delay is just because of 'administrative issues' like engineer transfers. But it’s more than just paperwork: a cobra was actually found inside a cupboard in a Karumaloor anganwadi recently! With missing window panes and centers surrounded by thickets, we are literally gambling with children’s lives. It’s also ridiculous that 600 centers don't have their own buildings because the government pays the same low rent for Kochi as they do for rural villages.
