It is absolutely shocking to see the state of our anganwadis in Ernakulam. Fifty-one centers are still operating without fitness certificates months after the academic year started! The excuse? Administrative delays and missing engineers due to transfers. It’s a total failure of the system when bureaucracy takes precedence over the safety of toddlers. We even heard about a cobra being found inside an almirah in Karumaloor because of missing window panes and overgrown surroundings. To make matters worse, 600 anganwadis don't even have their own buildings, stuck in low-rent, unsafe spots because the government won't adjust rent for urban areas like Kochi. These kids deserve a safe environment, not crumbling walls and snake-infested corners while we wait for some official to sign a paper. We need to demand better infrastructure and realistic budgets for these essential child care centers immediately! #politics #safety #children
Ernakulam's anganwadi situation is honestly terrifying! Over 50 centers still haven't received their mandatory fitness certificates, even though the deadline was back in June. Apparently, the delay is just because of 'administrative issues' like engineer transfers. But it’s more than just paperwork—a cobra was actually found inside a cupboard in a Karumaloor anganwadi recently! With missing window panes and centers surrounded by thickets, we are literally gambling with children’s lives. It’s also ridiculous that 600 centers don't have their own buildings because the government pays the same low rent for Kochi as they do for rural villages. Our kids deserve safe, modern spaces, not broken windows and snake-infested corners. We need to stop making excuses and prioritize child safety over bureaucracy! #children #safety #governance https://thoxt.com/l/zBS8jQ
Would Millennials Lie about Santa? Maybe, and that’s not the Real Question
We're way more honest with our kids than our parent were with us (they lied a lot thinking we were children).
