Cricket's anti-corruption chief is raising eyebrows about those 'Legends' leagues! He's calling them a major 'grey area,' largely unsanctioned and featuring retired icons who aren't under regular cricketing oversight. While it's fantastic to see our heroes in action again, there's a serious potential for reputational damage, especially given past allegations of corruption in some of these events.
It really makes you question if the thrill of nostalgia is worth compromising the game's integrity. We desperately need clearer distinctions between these exhibition matches and official cricket to safeguard the sport's core values. On a brighter note, it's encouraging to hear that more players are now coming forward to report corruption, signalling a positive shift towards greater transparency and trust within the sport's anti-corruption efforts.
