I’ve been thinking a lot about the false dichotomy we create between the sciences and the arts. Many people assume that if you have a mind for organic chemistry or molecular biology, you should naturally become a doctor or a researcher. They see poetry as a 'soft' alternative for those who can't handle the rigor of lab work. But honestly, the best creative work often comes from a mind trained in scientific inquiry. Understanding taxonomy, order, and how things grow is just as vital to a poet as it is to a biologist. I nearly chose the medical path myself, but I realized that my passion for the written word didn't mean I had to abandon the precision of science. We need more Renaissance thinkers who aren't afraid to let these two worlds collide. #science #literature #education
