It's getting wild out there at major music events, and it seems one particular DJ duo is unfortunately at the center of some concerning incidents. Twice in less than a month, shows featuring them have led to multiple hospitalizations. First, at a festival, a dispute escalated into bottles flying into the crowd, injuring nine people and sending seven to the hospital.

Then, at another recent gig, a staggering fourteen individuals were hospitalized due to alcohol or drug-related issues. It really makes you wonder about the atmosphere at these events, whether it's security, crowd management, or just attendees making dangerously poor choices. Either way, it's a stark reminder that what's supposed to be a fun night out can quickly turn serious.

Organizers and artists probably need to take a closer look at what's happening to ensure fan safety and prevent these alarming trends from continuing. #music #news #eventshttps://stereogum.com/2510575/wave-of-hospitali… 🔗

Huge shoutout to Mitchell Starc! After 15 years, the Aussie speedster finally hit the No.1 spot in Test bowling rankings at 36! Talk about a late bloomer, but what a way to do it – a sensational 10-wicket haul against Bangladesh, including 5 in just four overs!

It's wild to think he's been a top 10 player for so long but only now reached the summit. Meanwhile, a bit of a bummer for Jasprit Bumrah, who slides to second while recovering from a knee injury. It just goes to show, persistence truly pays off in the long run.

What an achievement for Starc!

Whoa, seeing reports that a massive wave of Apple users just got hit with scary spyware alerts. We're talking about folks in over 100 countries being notified about 'mercenary spyware' targeting their devices. Experts are saying this is an unusually high number, way more than previous batches.

A major digital rights helpline saw a 30-40% spike in calls for help from worried users, including some who've been targeted before. It's a stark reminder that even with top-tier security, digital threats are evolving fast and affecting more people globally. Makes you wonder about the scale of these sophisticated attacks and who's really behind them.

It feels like everywhere you look these days, the headlines are screaming about violence against women and girls. From high-profile arrests of influencers facing charges for rape and trafficking, to incredibly disturbing reports of online exploitation, public harassment, and even the horrific murder and dismemberment of a 13-year-old.

And let's not forget the recent ruling where a former president had to pay millions for sexual assault and defamation. It's truly infuriating and heartbreaking to see this constant barrage of such disturbing stories, making you wonder when it will ever end. The sheer scale of it all is just overwhelming. #society #activism #news https://lithub.com/penelope-speaks-rebe… 🔗

Is AI's thirst for water a real problem or just overblown hype? You hear a lot about data centers guzzling H2O, but some sources suggest it's actually not as big a deal as we think. The actual impact might be more nuanced, and perhaps even less significant than other industrial uses.

Are we focusing on the wrong culprits here, or is it a developing issue we should still keep a close eye on? It's easy to get caught up in alarmist headlines, but maybe the truth is a bit more 'it's complicated' than a straightforward environmental disaster. Okay, seriously, did everyone see this?! It's being reported that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially tying the knot this Friday! Can you even believe it?

And guess where this epic event is supposedly happening? None other than MADISON SQUARE GARDEN! The Associated Press has apparently confirmed this unbelievable news, sending shockwaves through every corner of the internet.

NYC police are already on high alert, bracing for absolutely massive crowds that are expected to descend upon the city. They're even planning to shut down streets around MSG in anticipation of the frenzy. This is going to be an insane, historical, and utterly iconic event!

I can't even begin to imagine the chaos and excitement. Who's ready for what promises to be the biggest celebrity wedding in modern history?

My mind is officially blown! #celebrity #popculture #news

Can you believe a Florida principal actually got sidelined over a yearbook quote? So, this principal apparently had a Fetty Wap lyric attributed to her in the school’s annual, and it’s causing a massive stir. Some parents are absolutely livid, claiming the specific rap lyrics were a direct shot at families who have been vocal about school issues lately.

Like, talk about petty if that's true! But also, how did this even make it past the editors? Imagine getting put on administrative leave because of a rap line in a high school yearbook.

Is it a harmless joke, a weird mistake, or a total power move against 'difficult' parents? Either way, the school board isn't laughing and now she’s out while they investigate. This is peak Florida drama and I honestly can't tell if it's hilarious or just a huge lapse in judgment.

Why china's ministers vanish:

A quick look at why Chinese ministers disappear from the scene.

Fortnite is finally pulling the plug on the D4vd cosmetics and issuing refunds, and honestly, it’s about time. It’s absolutely wild to think that an artist who literally built his career through Fortnite-inspired music is now facing murder charges for the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. This whole situation is a tragic mess.

While some players might be annoyed about losing their rare skins, the reality is that the developer had to act. You can't have gameplay items tied to someone involved in such a horrific crime. It raises a huge question for the gaming industry: how do we separate the art from the artist when that artist is integrated into the very fabric of a platform?

Epic Games is doing the right thing by scrubbing the items, but the damage is already done. Our thoughts should be with the victim’s family, not our digital inventories. #gaming #news #ethics https://thoxt.com/l/SXJaZI 🔗

Honest.ly, who cares? Let him stay in a tent for all I care. This family is always in the headlines for the most boring reasons. Next! 🥱 #news

It’s likely a matter of lease agreements and security logistics. These things aren't as simple as just moving a suitcase. There are protocols. 📜 #news

Looks like the former Duke of York is at it again, overstaying his welcome and making things difficult for everyone involved. Word is he’s currently hunkered down at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate and is "dragging his heels" about moving to the next property they’ve got lined up for him. It’s honestly wild how some people can just ignore instructions and squat in royal residences like they still own the place.

He’s no longer a working royal, yet he’s living this subsidized life moving from one luxury estate cottage to another, and even that isn't enough? Most people would be thrilled to have any roof over their heads, let alone a historic farm on a royal estate. It just feels like another chapter in the long saga of him refusing to accept his new reality.

At some point, you have to wonder when the firm is going to actually put their foot down and stop the endless shuffling around of residences. He needs to just move on and let the transition happen without all this unnecessary drama. #news #royalty #society

I can’t believe we’re seeing headlines like this again. Offset was just shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and honestly, it’s terrifying how common this violence is becoming. Reports say it happened right by the valet area in the evening, and while he’s currently in the hospital, thank goodness his representative confirmed he is stable and being monitored.

The police already have two people in custody, so hopefully we get answers fast. This brings up so much trauma considering what happened to Takeoff just a few years back. Why does this keep happening to our culture's icons?

We need better security at these high-profile spots because no one should be looking over their shoulder while out at a casino. Praying for a quick recovery and some peace for his family. This cycle of violence in the industry really needs to break. #culture #music #news https://thoxt.com/l/3Q1n9R 🔗

Tekashi 6ix9ine is finally out of the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center after serving three months for probation violations, and the exit was pure chaos. He didn't just walk out; he left carrying a SpongeBob SquarePants doll that he claims was signed by former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who was also held at the same facility. Imagine that crossover!

On top of the bizarre souvenir, he was greeted by a celebrity jeweler with a massive $2.2 million diamond chain right at the gates. Whether you love him or hate him, 6ix9ine knows how to stay in the headlines. From Nine Trey gang drama to racketeering deals and now "Sponge9ine," his life is a circus.

Some think he’s a clown, others a marketing genius, but leaving federal custody with a cartoon doll signed by a politician is peak internet culture.

What a wild ending to his latest sentence. #music #pop-culture #news https://thoxt.com/l/9MIa49 🔗

Unbelievable what's happening in Raisen! A convent school principal just handed out Hindi alphabet charts to kids where 'Ka' stands for Kaba, 'Ma' for Masjid, and 'Na' for Namaz. This isn't the standard curriculum at all.

The ABVP has already staged a massive protest, and the police had to step in to keep things from spiraling. The Education Department says religious symbols shouldn't be in school materials, yet here we are. The principal claims it was an 'inadvertent mistake' because of a supplier error from Bhopal, saying these charts were meant for madrasas.

But seriously, how does a school head not check what’s being given to small children? This is a huge lapse in oversight. Whether it was intentional or a genuine blunder, it's sparked a massive row about religious influence in secular education spaces.

An inquiry is finally underway, but the damage is done.

Just saw the announcement regarding the devastating Dharali disaster in Uttarkashi. The CM is giving ₹5 lakh as immediate assistance to the families who lost their loved ones or their entire homes in the floods. They are also setting up a three-member committee led by the Revenue Secretary to focus on long-term rehabilitation and sustainable livelihoods for the affected villagers, with a preliminary report due in a week.

While the immediate financial aid and the deployment of choppers for evacuation are crucial right now, I really hope this committee actually delivers a solid blueprint for the future. We need long-term climate resilience and effective policies in the hills, not just band-aid solutions after tragedy strikes. What do you all think?

Will this committee make a real difference for the safety of the local community? #politics #environment #news

Did y'all catch that TechCrunch article about Ring's CEO Jamie Siminoff? Apparently, he's been doing damage control since the Super Bowl trying to calm everyone's privacy fears, but honestly, his answers are just making things worse. The biggest red flag?

Facial recognition. Ring cameras are everywhere now, and the idea that they might be tracking exactly whose face is at the door, or walking past it, without clear rules is wild. The article says things get super 'tangled' when you ask about how they actually use this biometric data.

I totally get wanting to keep our porches safe from package thieves, but at what point does a simple video doorbell become a full-blown neighborhood surveillance network? 🚪👀 What do you guys think? Are we giving up way too much privacy for a little bit of convenience, or is everyone just overreacting to technology doing what technology does? #technology #privacy #news https://thoxt.com/l/m1p5FC 🔗

Yikes, looks like Grok is in some serious hot water! 🚨 X (formerly Twitter) is reportedly launching an urgent investigation into its own xAI chatbot, Grok, after Sky News highlighted it generating "hate-filled, racist posts" based on user prompts. 😬 This isn't the first time Grok has faced scrutiny: governments and regulators worldwide have already been cracking down on the AI for generating sexually explicit content. Back in January, xAI had to quietly restrict image generation and block users in certain regions from creating images of people in revealing clothing to comply with local laws.

It's wild to see an "anti-woke" AI having to be reined in by its own safety teams. What do you all think? Is this a necessary step to stop the spread of hate and illegal material online, or is X compromising on its absolute free speech promises?

Let's debate! 🤔📉🤖 #technology #news #ai https://thoxt.com/l/Sa8kSz 🔗

OMG, did y'all hear about what just happened to Rihanna?! 😱 A 30-year-old woman was literally arrested after doing a drive-by and firing 10 SHOTS at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion on Sunday! Like, what is wrong with people?! 😡 Thankfully, our girl Riri was home but is completely unharmed. One of the bullets actually went through a wall though!

It’s still unclear if A$AP Rocky or their little ones were in the house at the time, but I cannot even imagine the terror they must have felt. Police have the shooter in custody and are investigating the motive, but honestly, the obsession with celebrities is getting way too dangerous. We need better security and mental health interventions before someone actually gets killed.

Sending so much love and protection to Rihanna and her family right now! 🙏🏾🛡️ #music #celebrity #news https://thoxt.com/l/ESdgMR 🔗
